She then earned her Bachelors in Nursing at Governor’s State University before enrolling in the Masters Program at University of Alabama. Over the course of the last 14 years Jodie has served communities in rural Oregon as well as South Sudan. Her work in emergency room settings revealed a need for psychiatric providers for both children and adults. Becoming a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner drew upon her extensive critical care knowledge and her passion for mental health. While Jodie is qualified to provide care for patients of all ages, she has special interest in working with adolescents. Her expertise includes psychopharmacological treatment and management of:

Though she has adopted Oregon as her home, she remains an avid fan of the University of Florida Gators football team. In her spare time, Jodie enjoys time in nature with her husband, Matt, and their three rescue dogs. In addition to her Life Works position, Jodie is the child/adolescent prescriber for Crook County.
