Jodie Butler

MS, PMHNP

Jodie joined Life Works in 2021 after completing her graduate training through the University of Alabama and an internship year under the proctorship of Nick Campo, PMHNP. She is ANCC Certified Adult Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Born and raised in Gainesville FL, Jodie came to Oregon over 20 years ago. She began her nursing career in 2007, earning her Associates of Science in Nursing at Mt. Hood Community College.

She then earned her Bachelors in Nursing at Governor’s State University before enrolling in the Masters Program at University of Alabama. Over the course of the last 14 years Jodie has served communities in rural Oregon as well as South Sudan. Her work in emergency room settings revealed a need for psychiatric providers for both children and adults. Becoming a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner drew upon her extensive critical care knowledge and her passion for mental health. While Jodie is qualified to provide care for patients of all ages, she has special interest in working with adolescents. Her expertise includes psychopharmacological treatment and management of:

• Autism
• ADHD
• Anxiety
• Bipolar Disorder
• Depression
• Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
• Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
• Schizophrenia/ Psychotic Disorders

Though she has adopted Oregon as her home, she remains an avid fan of the University of Florida Gators football team. In her spare time, Jodie enjoys time in nature with her husband, Matt, and their three rescue dogs. In addition to her Life Works position, Jodie is the child/adolescent prescriber for Crook County.
