Brie Arnette

Brie Arnette began her counseling career in 1989, working with domestic violence and substance abuse. She implemented new programs at the University of Arizona and in Lasson County, taught at the University of Nevada, provided trainings, and was in private practice from 1998-2007 (Reno, NV).

Brie was a court qualified expert in DV, Substance Abuse, and Eating Disorders, and was a forensic evaluator and expert witness. While in practice, she was a consultant to judges, attorneys, and healthcare providers, court appointed for child custody and divorce mediation, and provided forensic evaluations to Child Welfare, Youth Parole, Adult P&P, Family Drug Court, and attorneys. She also saw individuals, couples, and families in her private practice.

Brie moved to Bend, Oregon in 2006, and was employed with the Deschutes County Circuit Court as the Family Court Program Manager until 2015. This position oversaw complex cases, and Brie utilized mediation, negotiation and collaborative treatment planning to reunify families.

Brie has worked for Life Works of Central Oregon since 2012. She specializes in working with individuals, couples and families. She works with issues such as anxiety, depression, grief, life cycle transitions, divorce/family conflict, reunification, mediation, health concerns, self-esteem, trauma, finding meaning in life/ spirituality, GLBTQ, domestic violence, substance abuse, and work/career concerns. Brie utilizes a variety of best practices to meet clients’ needs (CBT, DBT, MI, Gestalt, Family Systems, etc.).

Brie is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, and Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor III. She received her BA in Psychology from the University of Arizona, and her MA in Counseling & Educational Psychology (MFT emphasis) from the University of Nevada, Reno.
